Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Plan, troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the 13th Brigade, in coordination with the Dijín of the National Police, reported the arrest of two individuals for the alleged crime of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts and/ or ammunition.
The military operation took place in the Candelaria La Nueva neighborhood, in the locality of Ciudad Bolívar, where more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition of the 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm calibers were found by troops.
According to the preliminary investigations, this war elements would be destined to organized armed groups that commit crimes in the departments of Santander, Norte de Santander department and Cesar, which represents an important blow to the illegal activities and logistical networks of these criminal structures.
Those arrested, along with the items found, were put into custody of the authorities to continue to conduct with the corresponding judicial process.
In this way, the troops of the Thirteenth Brigade of Colombian National Army reaffirm their permanent commitment to the security and tranquility of the inhabitants of the center of the country, working in coordination with other State institutions to counter criminal acts.
