Troops of Light Cavalry Group No.9 of the National Army, in coordination with the National Police, were able during military operations in response to the recommendations of the early warning 073 of 2018, to find an illegal hideout belonging to the organized armed group, GAO, ELN.
This illegal hideout was in the sector known as Madre Vieja, in the municipality of Tadó, Department of Chocó, where 8.5 kilograms of explosives were found by troops, which were destroyed in a controlled and safe way by an explosives and demolition team (EXDE), who destroyed the material and made perimeters, in order to confirm the absence of other possible explosives in the sector.
These 17 units of explosives would belong to the Cacique Calarcá front and the group of the Ernesto Che Guevara Front of alías Shumager of the GAO ELN.
