They neutralized a dump truck vehicle equipped with an Improvised Explosive Device launcher that would have a range of more than one block around.
This operation took place thanks to the timely information of the inhabitants who noticed that two individuals were leaving a dump truck abandoned in the Fatima Neighborhood, adjacent to the Engineer Battalion No. 3 Coronel Agustín Codazzi of the Third Brigade of Colombian National Army in the municipality of Palmira, department of Valle del Cauca.
Immediately explosives technicians of the National Police and Colombian National Army neutralized the vehicle equipped with a means of launching Improvised Explosive Devices that world be used to attack the inhabitants and the Military Forces.
Thanks to this quick operation, it was not only possible to prevent a terrorist attack against the inhabitants and troops, but it was in the same way possible to arrest an individual who apparently is related to this act.
