The two arrested individuals were allegedly part of the Organized Gang Los Mijitos, and it is being investigated whether this outlaw group would have links with the Residual Organized Armed Group Dagoberto Ramos.
The Zeus Operational Command, with troops of the José Domingo Caicedo Infantry Battalion in coordination with the eighth specialized anti-narcotics Prosecutor's Office, arrested a man and a woman, by court order used for the crime of association to commit crimes for drug trafficking purposes.
The arrest of these two people took place thanks to the information provided by the people and a military intelligence work, which led them to found the individuals in the urban area of the municipality of Chaparral - South of Tolima, place where the troops of the José Domingo Caicedo Infantry Battalion went, accompanied by units of the Prosecutor's Office, who found in the hands of these people 10 kilos of marijuana, three cell phones, cash and two notebooks with information that is being analyzed by military Intelligence. The two arrested were put into custody of the authorities.
This operation directly hits the illicit activities and the structures of the Organized Criminal Groups that commit crimes in the South of Tolima.
The Zeus Operational Command will continue to carry out operations against criminal groups and will continue to ratify its commitment to maintaining security and tranquility in this area of the country.
