This man apparently would be responsible for the murder of three agents of the National Police, which occurred in the department of Cesar, on June 26, 2021.
Troops of the National Army, in a joint and coordinated effort with the Colombian Air Force and the National Police, carried out the arrest of alias Abelito, alleged member of the Camilo Torres front, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, in the municipality of El Edén, in the municipality of El Carmen, in Norte de Santander.
In the course of the military operation, where the search procedures were supported, the troops of the Tenth Brigade established the exact place where this individual was found.
Alias Abelito would apparently be responsible for coordinating and carrying out selective homicides in Norte de Santander and Cesar. In addition, he was accused of proselytizing and criminal intelligence activities against troops in these departments, in order to install explosive devices that would attack the soldiers.
This individual is in the same way accused for being the alleged perpetrator of the murder of three police officers, on June 26, 2021, who were at the Police Station of Pailitas, Cesar.
The apprehended was given to the authorities to respond for the crimes of aggravated homicide in the degree of attempt and manufacture, trafficking, carrying and possession of firearms, accessories and ammunition.
