From this point the orders would be issued to perpetrate criminal acts against the inhabitants and the Military Forces; in the same way, coordination activities for drug trafficking from the department of C贸rdoba to the coasts of the Gulf of Urab谩 and finally Central America.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan and through the unified ground military operations, troops of the 47th Infantry Battalion of the Seventeenth Brigade of Colombian National Army managed to arrest three members of the GAO Clan del Golfo and uninstall a communications center from where the beatings against the inhabitants and Military Forces would be directed, at the same time war material and another material of interest to military intelligence was seized.
Through intelligence work, as well as military area control, National Army troops arrived at the village Arenas Bajas, municipality of Apartad贸, in Antioquia, uninstalled the communications equipment and arrested alias Niche, alias Barbas and alias, who were guarding the place. These individuals are apparently members of the Juan de Dios 脷suga Substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo; they had in their possession a rifle, a revolver, a magazine and ammunition.
During the military operation, radios, documents with useful information for their communications and communications base antenna were in the same way found, apparently it was the main point of the communications central.
Those arrested were taken into custody to the authorities for their respective prosecution. Colombian National Army will continue to carry out operations to combat the factors of instability in these regions of the country and generate an environment of security for its inhabitants, and invites citizens to continue reporting any suspicious acts that may generate disturbances of law and order in this area of the country.
