These results are given within the framework of the National Government's Security and Defense Policy.
In the municipality of Puerto Libertador, Córdoba, soldiers of the Joint Task Force Aquiles, in a coordinated and interagency operation with the Police and the Attorney General's Office with its investigative corps, arrested alias Par Seis, alias Causil and alias Abraham accused of being the main ringleaders of the armed group of the Rubén Darío Ávila Substructure, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
Alias Par Seis would have a criminal experience of more than 16 years; he would have started as a member of the Bananeros Bloc of the AUC, later he would have been part of different organized armed groups until he reached the Clan del Golfo, becoming the main ringleader of the Rubén Darío Ávila Substructure.
In this way, he allegedly participated and executed attacks, extortions, murders and terrorist operations in the department of Córdoba, harming civilians and the Military Forces. It should be noted that he is accused of collaborating in the ambush with an explosive device, where 5 soldiers were killed and 7 more injured, in a rural area of the municipality of Puerto Libertador, in 2021.
On the other hand, alias Causil would have participated in the homicides of 4 members of his same armed group in October 2020; he would be in charge of planning terrorist actions against the security forces, and one of his functions would be to supply military material, food, hallucinogenic substances and logistics for the members of the GAO Clan del Golfo, he would also be carrying out the collection of money from extortion and directing selective murders due to non-payment of the extortions.
In the same way, alias Abraham was in charge of extorting cattle ranchers, small, medium and large merchants and businessmen of Puerto Libertador, especially of the company Minerales Córdoba. It should be noted that he handled the war material, military accessories and communications with which he intended to attack against people and the military in the area.
With these arrests, the finances of this substructure are weakened, limiting their criminal activities in the south of Córdoba. These individuals were put into custody of the judicial authorities to continue their judicial process.
