This man was in charge of collecting money from extortion and summoning at specific points the merchants, businessmen, ranchers and coffee growers of the south of Tolima.
In the municipality of Planadas, soldiers of the Rapid Deployment Battalion N.° 13, Fudra N.° 5, of the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Police, arrest an individual who would be part of the residual organized armed group Frente Ismael Ruiz, and who would be in charge of extorting the money of the inhabitants of the south of Tolima.
Alias Smith, an alleged member of the structure outlaw for approximately 3 years, began his criminal activity as a support network member under the direction of the finance component and its ringleader, where he was in charge of distributing pamphlets and intimidating the inhabitants through illegal meetings in the rural area of the municipality of Planadas.
The man was put into custody of the authority for the alleged crime of association to commit crimes for the purpose of aggravated extortion.
