Two of these people were in Santa Rosa del Sur, one in Montecristo and two more in rural Simit铆.
National Army troops, in coordination with the police, arrested in the south of Bol铆var five alleged members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, accused of carrying out various terrorist operations against civilians and Military Forces in this department.
The military operation carried out by troops of the Joint Task Force MARTE, led to the apprehension of the municipality of Santa Elena, Santa Rosa South, of a man and a woman connected, apparently, with this organized group; in the same way, in the area of La Rioja, Simit铆, two people accused of making part of the same criminal organization were arrested.
Meanwhile, in the urban area of Montecristo, it was possible the apprehension of another individual, who at the time of his arrest was found with several pamphlets with information of the GAO Clan del Golfo.
These people were found by troops with two handguns and ammunition.
Those arrested were put into custody of the competent authorities, who will continue to conduct their respective prosecution process for the crimes of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition and attempted homicide.
