Alias La Mona had an arrest warrant in force for three felonies. Her capture leads to counteracting the plans of the residual organized armed group.
After several days of follow-up, troops of the National Army captured, in Huila, alias La Mona, accused of being head of Finances of the residual organized armed group, GAO-r, Mobile column Dagoberto Ramos.
This important result came after more than a year of monitoring and intelligence on the criminal structure, the capture took place through a military operation carried out by troops of the National Army with the support of the National Police and the prosecutor's Office.
The action occurred in the municipality of La Plata, Huila, as far as the woman had been taken, apparently the mission of conducting criminal intelligence to identify potential targets of kidnapping and extortion and in this way strengthen the economic part of the structure for its criminal plans.
The 22-year-old woman, with a valid court order for the crimes of aggravated extortion kidnapping, manufacture, trafficking or carrying firearms for the exclusive use of the Military Forces and association for committing aggravated crimes, would have started her criminal activity, in 2014, when she was part of the sixth front of the former Farc, to set up support networks for residual structures in the rural area of the municipality of Páez - Belalcazar, Cauca. She allegedly in 2018, due to her ability to find possible victims of kidnapping and extortion, enter the Finances Group and there she participated directly in the execution of these criminal activities, gaining the trust of alias Fabián or El Tuerto, who names her his right hand by giving her the position of second in command of the group.
Criminal record
Among her criminal history, allegedly, she have participated in the kidnapping, on September 12, 2019, of the businessman of collective transport of passengers Raúl Chamorro Noguera, who was intercepted by armed individuals, when he was traveling between La Plata and the municipality center of Gallego, in the west of Huila.
It in the same way, she is investigated for their participation in the forced recruitment of minors, especially young people who belong to Indigenous communities, with the aim of strengthening the mobile column.
Since 2019, she would have begun her mission to pressure and conduct the collection of money from extortions against economic productive groups of the municipalities of the west of Huila who were summoned by her in the rural area of Inzá and Belalcazar, in Cauca.
In the same way, she was who apparently moved to the municipalities of Inzá and Páez Belálcazar to collect the money of the operations of extortionists against the fuel service stations.
