The vehicle covered the route from Santander de Quilichao to Popayán, loaded with 71 blocks of marijuana distributed in the car.

Troops of the Infantry Battalion No.7, of the Twenty Ninth Brigade, the Cavalry Group No.8 and the Highway Police in the department of Cauca, in the framework of the Bicentenary Plan “Heroes of Freedom”, found 71 blocks of pressed marijuana. It was transported in a van vehicle that traveled in the rural area of the municipality of Piendamó.

In the place of the facts, the military men stopped the vehicle to carry out the corresponding inspection and after a thorough review of the automobile, found 71 blocks of pressed marijuana. Immediately, the individual who was driving the vehicle was captured for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking and carrying of narcotics, and was given to the Prosecutor of the municipality of Piendamó.

In this way, the finances of the Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in this region are hit, because the material would belong to the Sixth Structure of the “Dagoberto Ramos” front, which receives large sums of money through activities related to drug trafficking; this group is led by alias Mayimbú, its top leader.
