The events occurred in the municipality of Tiquisio, southern Bol铆var.
In development of Operation Agamenon, troops of the Mechanized Infantry Battalion No. 4, of the Joint Task Force MARTE in coordination with the National Police, captured a member of the substructure Luis Fernando Guti茅rrez, of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
This person was captured thanks to information provided by the Civic Participation Network and the work of military intelligence, which helps in the capture in flagrante delicto of Alias Curro for the crime of manufacture, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.
With this capture the National Army manages to directly hit the criminal activity and the finances of the Luis Fernando Guti茅rrez substructure of the GAO Clan del Golfo, a criminal organization that commits crimes in this region. Alias Curro allegedly served as an money from extortion collector in the municipality of Tiquisio, south of Bolivar.
