National Army captures member of the residual Organized Armed Group ‘Jaime Martínez’

Troops of the Brigade 13 found and captured a member of this residual group in the city of Ibagué.

Troops of the Cundinamarca Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) with the support of the Technical Investigation Corps of the Office of the Prosecutor of the Nation, through research work carried out during the last months, captured an individual belonging to the Residual Organized Armed Group 'Jaime Martínez' of the former Farc-ep, with presence in the department of Cauca,

The offender was captured in his house in Ibagué, Tolima, and according to the investigations he was part of a structure led by individuals in prisons and is responsible for collecting money through extortion in the department of Cundinamarca, with the objective of financing the Residual organized Group Armed “Jaime Martínez”.

The man will have to face charges for traffic, manufacture of narcotics and extortion. The Brigade 13 of the National Army reiterates its commitment to continue neutralizing these organizations that seek to hit the tranquility of the inhabitants of the center of the country.
