National Army provides humanitarian support to a child who suffered trauma with sharp element in his head

Second Division troops of the Vulcano Task Force, with the Search and Rescue Army Aviation support, evacuated in Norte de Santander a minor who suffered a serious accident.

In response to the call of the community, troops of the National Army, in coordination with the municipality’s Health Secretariat of El Tarra, carried out the urgent air evacuation of a minor of 12 years old, with his father, to Cúcuta, Norte de Santander.

This humanitarian airlift was carried out with a National Army UH-1H (Huey II) helicopter which, with a special search and rescue crew, assisted the minor who suffered a serious head injury as a result of a fall. The child and his father, who was accompanying him, were provided with transportation to a medical center, where at this time the child receives the necessary medical attention.

The National Army will remain attentive from anywhere in the country to assist citizens who require the deployment of its resources, with the firm objective of supporting and helping those who need it.
