Through this operation, the resources of the Uldar Cardona Rueda and Manuel Alexander Ariza substructures, belonging to this gang, are directly hit.
Troops of the Rainforest Battalion N.° 57, attached to the Eleventh Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police, recently arrested an alleged member of the organized armed group (GAO) Clan del Golfo,; in the same way, troops report the finding of an illegal hiding place with explosive elements and the voluntary surrender of a man who would in the same way be part of this criminal organization.
The military and police operation took place on the border of the municipalities of El Bagre and Segovia, department of Antioquia, thanks to the intelligence and reconnaissance work carried out by members of the Military Forces.
The arrested, alias Starlink or Panda, would be a member of the Uldar Cardona Rueda Substructure, and was wanted by judicial order for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.
In the same way, troops found a hideout with military elements, where 8 electric detonators, 10 indugel explosive units, one kilo of ANFO, 4 5.59 mm caliber magazines and a multipurpose vest, which in the same way led to the surrender to justice of an alleged member of the Manuel Alexander Ariza Substructure who was in the place.
Through this result, it was possible to neutralize one of the most dangerous resources of the threat, ratifying the commitment of the troops to the protection of the inhabitants, and to counter terrorist acts aimed at members of the Military Forces, strategic assets of the nation and communities of the region.
