Troops of the Sixth Division arrived in the village El Guamo, with the purpose of protecting the inhabitants and providing support in the Early Warning 023 of 2024, issued by the Ombudsman's Office.
The Twelfth Brigade, using all its resources, was deployed in the village El Guamo, municipality of Cartagena del Chair谩, Caquet谩, with the aim of strengthening the security of the inhabitants and consolidating territorial control. To do this, it carried out a strategic organization of his units, inserting platoons with the specific mission of protecting the lives of civilians.
About 100 soldiers were transported by Colombian National Army aviation, with the support of an Air Force helicopter. This deployment is aimed at safeguarding the inhabitants against possible clashes conducted by the Jorge Su谩rez Brice帽o Block, aligned with the Rodrigo Cadete and Ra煤l Reyes structures and the so-called Calarc谩 Wings, against the Manuel Marulanda V茅lez Amazonas Block, together with the Carolina Ram铆rez Structure and the Jhonier Arenas Group, aligned with Iv谩n Mordisco.
These illegal armed groups are threatening the inhabitants, recruiting minors, generating forced displacements, confinement and possible collective murders due to apparent links with these structures.
