The troops began the buildings demolition work of hit houses by Hurricane Iota at the end of 2020.

Our soldiers began demolition work of houses that were semi-destroyed during the Hurricane Iota. That is why 1,134 new houses will be built by the National Government.
On the island, 428 men -with all the resources of military engineers- are in charge of fulfilling this mission, where it is proposed to carry out 90 demolitions per month, approximately. Those operations will provide land and terrain ready to start the massive houses reconstruction.
