This year, the Joint Task Force Aquiles has dealt 36 blows on this organized armed group.
As a result of the ongoing operations of territorial control by the National Army, and in response to early warnings 028 2018 and 020 and 035 of 2019 of the Ombudsman's office, the weekend, were neutralized three members of Organised Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, in the Bajo Cauca antioqueño region.
The first operation, which was carried out jointly coordinated and inter-agency with the Navy of Colombia, the Air Force, the Police and the Prosecutor's office, in the municipality La Caucana, in Tarazá, in military operations an individual was neutralized, and another was arrested; alleged members of this criminal organization.
A 7.62 mm caliber rifle, a 9 mm caliber pistol, magazines, abundant ammunition, as well as military accessories, communications and clothing alluding to this organized armed group were found by troops at the scene.
In the second operation, this time in the sector of Bijagual, in the municipality of Nechí, after fights against members of the substructure Uldar Cardona Rueda, of this GAO, another of its members was arrested.
In this operation troops found an M-60 machinegun, linked ammunition for it, as well as a 40 mm grenade launcher mortar and communications equipment.
