The Military Forces and the Attorney General's Office carried out a military operation that led to the finding of war material, explosives and military accessories.
In joint, coordinated and inter-institutional military operations with the National Navy, the Colombian Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General's Office, carried out in the hamlets Angosturas and La Cocha of the municipality of Puerto As铆s, Putumayo, it was possible to deal a heavy blow to the finances of the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, structure 48, self-named Comandos de la Frontera.
The first result was possible with the finding of a collection center for supplies in the village La Cocha, in the municipality of Puerto As铆s, Putumayo, which contained 14 barrels with 770 gallons of acetone, which would have an approximate cost of $ 160,000,000 COP; it should be noted that, the substance may results in the production of 800 kilos of high purity cocaine hydrochloride.
In the same way, in the Angosturas village of the same municipality, it was found an illegal hideout with abundant war material and explosives, within which were found by troops: 20 magazines for 5.56 mm caliber rifle, 42 mine activation systems, four launching means and three cylinders; in addition to material of military accessories such as: 61 tents, six units of field equipment, two equipment holders, 96 camouflage fabric, five sweatshirts, towels, handkerchiefs and ponchos. In the same way, it was found communications material such as: charger cables for radios, 90 batteries and 10,000 notebooks alluding to the residual GAO, structure 48.
In the same way, a fuel collection center with eight barrels containing 440 gallons of gasoline was found in this same village.
With these results by the Military Forces and the Prosecutor's Office, the finance group of the residual Organized Armed Group, Structure 48, of the FARC dissidents, losses about one billion pesos, and in the same way troops mitigate possible environmental damage caused by the manipulation of precursors used for the production of coca paste base.
