In record time, troops of the Hercules Task Force found and dismantled 23 laboratories for the production of coca base paste in the department of Nariño.
As a result of a strategy of the military operation planned and executed in a coordinated manner by the troops of the Hercules Task Force in the department of Nariño Pacific region, 23 laboratories destined to the production of coca base paste in the municipalities of Barbacoas, El Charco, Olaya Herrera and Tumaco were found and destroyed.
These acts, carried out in less than six days, led to significantly affect the criminal structures that are financed through drug trafficking, directly hitting their logistical and economic resources.
According to the estimates made by the authorities, the destruction of these illegal complexes represents a loss of close to more than 700 million pesos, weakening the sources of financing of the organized armed groups that commit crimes in this region of the country.
The Hercules Task Force will continue to carry out sustained military operations in the department of Nariño, with the purpose of neutralizing illicit activities, strengthening the security of communities and contributing to the stability of the territory.
