In joint and coordinated military operations with the Colombian Navy, the Colombian Air Force, and the National Police, soldiers of the Joint Task Force Titan found four laboratories used for the production of coca base paste in the municipalities of Riosucio and Tad贸, in the department of Choc贸.
The troops infiltrated the different points indicated by the military intelligence personnel, and there, accompanied by the National Police personnel, were found by troops more than 1,851 gallons of liquid supplies and more than 210 kilograms of solid supplies, as well as machinery and equipment used for the preparation of the substance, which would belong to the Pablo Jos茅 Montalvo Cuitiva substructure, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
With this result, a loss to the finances of this organized armed group was possible by more than 1,100 million pesos and, in turn, the production of approximately one ton of cocaine hydrochloride per month is prevented.
No arrests were made at the place and the material found was put into custody of the authorities, to carry out their respective process of prosecution and subsequent destruction.
Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, the National Army continues the fight against drug trafficking with military operations in the department of Choc贸, attacking the illegal finances of these armed groups that hit the security of civilians.
