Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, troops of the Rainforest Battalion No. 51, or of the Twenty-Second Rainforest Brigade, carried out the finding and destruction of a clandestine laboratory used for the production of coca base paste, belonging to the residual organized armed group Structura Primera Armando Ríos.
The military operation took place in the village of Pueblo Nuevo, municipality of Miraflores, department of Guaviare, where, thanks to intelligence and territorial control work, the units identified a rustic structure built of wood, approximately 10 meters long by 3 meters wide, used for drug trafficking activities.
Des 1276 grams of coca paste were found by troops at the site, as well as a significant amount of solid and liquid precursors used for its production, including 50 kilograms of lime, 100 kilograms of cement, 5 gallons of ammonia, 2 gallons of sulfuric acid and approximately 300 gallons of gasoline. In the same way, 100 gallons of the substance were found by troops in the process of obtaining CBP.
During the operation, elements used in the production chain were in the same way found, such as a press and a chopper, which were destroyed in controlled conditions on the place, which directly hits the illegal activities of this organized armed group.
