Within the framework of military operations, soldiers of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the Police, report the finding and subsequent destruction of a laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, that would cost about one billion pesos, in the municipality of San Cayetano, Norte de Santander.
The men arrived at the Ayacucho village, where this coca-growing complex was found, with four buildings and a collection center, which had the capacity to produce half a ton of the drug per month.
More than 240 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, 1391 gallons of liquid chemical substance, 450 kilograms of solid chemical substance and abundant precursors for the production of this drug were found by troops at the site.
It is noteworthy that this drug would have a commercial cost outside Colombia of more than 7 million dollars.
In the same way, a solvent recovery system distillation tower, a cooling condensation system, an power generator, electric panels, microwave ovens, rudimentary dryer, digital precision scale, mold, plastic label with the letters JM, filter paper sheets, transparent bags, rolls of packing tape, toolbox, industrial stove, meeting, hydraulic press, plastic containers and abundant materials used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops on the site.
The coca-growing complex that was destroyed in controlled conditions was in the area where the residual organized armed group Structure 33 commits crimes.
