The group consisted of four people who were arrested in flagrante delicto in a mineral coal mine.

Troops of the Mechanized Cavalry Group No.10 Tequendama, in a joint and coordinated work with the Colombian Air Force and the National Police, found a mine for illegal extraction of natural coal, in the Peñas village, in the municipality of Guachetá - Cundinamarca.  In order to counter illegal activities, within the framework of Operation Pedro Pascacio Martínez, it was possible the arrest in flagrante delicto of four people for the crimes of illegal exploitation of mining deposits and damage to natural resources.

With this result, criminal groups lost at least 1,250 million pesos, which in the same way stop receiving approximately 60 million pesos monthly, thus reducing this illicit activity with roots in the sector, as well as an additional reduction of the environmental impact on five hectares, with an estimated cost of 1,500 million pesos due to the deforestation of approximately 3,000 trees, which would take 30 to 40 years recovery.
