In this illegal structure there were more than 2,000 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride
This operation hits the illegal activities of the organized armed group (GAO) ELN Compañía José Luis Cabrera Ruales.
In a joint and coordinated operation, following the guidelines of the national Government and the Ayacucho Campaign Plan, troops of the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats (CONAT), in support of military units of the Third Division of Colombian National Army, the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, carried out a helicopter-borne interception in a rural area of the municipality of Santacruz de Guachaves, Nariño department, where a laboratory used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride was destroyed in controlled conditions.
In the place were found by troops rudimentary facilities with six structures belonging to the GAO ELN Company José Luis Cabrera Ruales. Inside were found by troops more than 2000 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride and more than 300 kilograms of cocaine base, abundant liquid and solid supplies along with machinery and equipment that are used for the production of narcotics.
The figures of the result are as follows: finding of more than 2000 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, more than 300 kilograms of cocaine base, abundant liquid and solid supplies, as well as machinery and equipment. The illicit activities for the support of the organized armed group (GAO) ELN Compañía José Luis Cabrera Ruales are hit.
The economic loss to this group outlaw amounts to more than 11,000 million pesos, about 2,794,680 USD.
In this way, Colombian National Army ratifies its commitment to continue working jointly and in a coordinated manner for the security of the inhabitants, combating the problem of drug trafficking that has hit the country.
