The distribution of the aid was carried out with the Municipal Mayor's Office of Ci茅naga, Magdalena and the Ministry of Health of the sector.
Troops of the National Army with the support of the Aviation and Air Assault Division and in coordination with the Municipal Mayor's Office of Ci茅naga, Magdalena, over the weekend distributed to the Mamacundua indigenous people (Kogui), in the upper part of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the department of Magdalena, 300 baskets of food and nutritional supplements, which will benefit about 600 people.
The soldiers accompanied by the staff of the mayor's office made the donation of the aids to the families, while doctors of the IPSI Gonawindua provided the ethnic group with medical assistance in gynecology, psychology and nutrition.
Meanwhile, the Kogui seniors thanked the National Army for its commitment to the well-being of these indigenous people, and for the transfer of supplements that will help improve their quality of life.
