Thanks to the expertise of the troops, no harm was done to civilians or members of the Military Forces during the weekend attack.
In military operations of territorial control, troops of the National Army during the weekend engaged a combat in the municipality El Tarra, Norte de Santander, with individuals accused of belonging to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, Compa帽铆a H茅ctor.
The events occurred in the vicinity of the La Esperanza military base, in the municipality of El Tarra, 700 meters of the urban center, where members of this criminal structure attacked the military unit. Members of the Military Forces in the reaction injured an individual known by the alias of Jhony, accused of being the ringleader of the GAO ELN Terrorist Support Network, who fled the scene with the help of his colleagues.
According to information, alias Jhony would be the explosives expert for this structure, and would be in charge of installing explosive devices against military troops; he would have the task of carrying out the criminal intelligence report in the entire area of the municipality of El Tarra.
It should be noted that no harm was done to civilians or the Military Forces in the sector.
