Troops of the National Army neutralize an improvised explosive device that was allegedly planted by the GAO ELN in the municipality of Teorama.
In carrying out military control operations in the area, troops of the National Army find and destroy an improvised explosive device, which was apparently planted by the Organized Armed Group, GAO, ELN, Compañía Héroes del Catatumbo, with the intention of attacking civilians and members of the Military Forces that guarantee security in the region.
The neutralization was carried out under strict security protocols, in the municipality of Caño Seco, in the municipality of Teorama, by the Explosives and Demolitions Team of Rapid Deployment Battalion No.8, to prevent the attack.
The National Army rejects the use of unconventional methods of warfare, with which organized armed groups insist on attacking the lives of civilians and Military Forces, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
