These deadly weapons were found by troops near a village road, where the peasants of the region travel.
In the framework of military operations in the village of La Plancha, municipality of Anorí, department of Antioquia, soldiers of the Light Infantry Battalion No. 42 Batalla de Bomboná, of the Fourteenth Brigade, reported neutralization of a terrorist action, by finding 8 explosive devices.
These elements were destroyed in controlled conditions with the support of the Explosives and Demolitions Team, EXDE. They had been planted approximately 30 meters from a frequent traffic side road, which shows the serious risk to which the inhabitants were exposed.
It is presumed that these weapons would have been installed by members of the Anorí Heroes y Martires Front, of the GAO ELN, putting at risk the life and integrity of both the community and the members of the security forces.
This action constitutes a clear violation of human rights and a violation of international humanitarian law, for which the corresponding denunciations will be filed with the authorities.
