So far this year, the threat of 80 explosive devices has been neutralized in the department of Arauca.

In the course of military search and control operations, National Army troops destroyed two explosive devices in the village of Normandia, in the municipality of Arauquita, in the department of Arauca.

After the review, soldiers of the EXDE group of the Quirón Task Force, determined that they were anti-personnel mines planted allegedly by members of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln, Frente Domingo Laín Zans, with the purpose of causing deaths of children, youth, adults and soldiers in this area of the country.

After being destroyed under controlled conditions, the National Army filed the respective denunciations with the authority since it is an action that violates the norms contained in International Humanitarian Law.

Within the framework of the Ayacucho plan, the National Army continues to conduct its operation against illegal armed groups, thereby neutralizing their terrorist operations to stabilize the Colombian Orinoquia region.
