Within the framework of sustained military operations against drug trafficking, troops of the Rainforest Battalion N.掳 51, attached to the Brigade 22, of the Fourth Division of Colombian National Army, reported the finding and destruction of a coca base paste production laboratory, belonging to the GAO-r E1 Armando R铆os, in the rural area of the municipality of Miraflores, department of Guaviare.
The operation took place in the village of Lagos del Dorado, and thanks to intelligence work, the soldiers found the illegal structure, where they found supplies and equipment used for the production of narcotics.
There, 1800 gallons of PBC in process, 250 kg of gray cement, 150 kg of lime, 250 kg of caustic soda, 250 kg of coca leaf, a 10 hp diesel engine, 2 500 liter plastic tanks, a manual press, 120 gallons of gasoline, 80 liters of acid and 80 liters of ammonia were destroyed
The information was brought to the assistance of the authorities and the corresponding judicial acts were conducted.
This result represents a direct blow to the illegal finances of the organized armed groups that commit crimes in the south-east of Colombia, significantly damaging their capacity to produce and market narcotics.
