Within the framework of joint, coordinated and inter-institutional military operations, troops of the Rainforest Battalion No. 51, the Navy Infantry River Battalion No. 32 and the Colombian Aerospace Force carried out the finding and subsequent controlled destruction, in the village of Boca de Buenos Aires, municipality of Miraflores, department of Guaviare.
The illegal laboratory was destroyed in controlled conditions under strict security protocols, in order to prevent damage to the environment and work to increase the protection of wildlife and water sources in the area.
During the operation, a wooden structure was disabled, inside of which there were 200 gallons of diesel, 100 gallons of precursors in process corresponding to coca base paste, 50 kilos of urea, 50 kilos of cement, 20 gallons of gasoline, in addition to a press and a coca leaf grinder, elements used for the production of narcotics.
Through this result, the men and women of the Fourth Division of Colombian National Army significantly disturb the finances of drug trafficking organizations and ratify their commitment to security, environmental protection and the well-being of the communities of the Colombian southeast.
