National Army finds illegal hideout with heroin that would cost more than 670 million pesos

During the military operation, it was possible to find 21 kilograms of heroin that allegedly belonged to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln.

 

In the course of military and inter-institutional operations, troops of the National Army and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office find an illegal hideout that led to the finding of 21 kilograms of heroin, a narcotic that apparently belonged to the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln, frente Manuel Vásquez Castaño.

 

This hallucinogen was found in the municipality Los Idolos, in the municipality of Buesaco, Nariño, it would cost approximately 672 million pesos; this money is presumed it would be used for the purchase of war material, communications, and accessories military. In the same way, it has been detected the purchase of vehicles for the transportation of supplies, weaponry, and also for the transport of members of this organized armed group.

 

It was in the same way established that heroin was being marketed at illegal border crossings conducted by Colombia and Ecuador with armed groups working in the area. The material was given to the authorities, to carry out their respective judicial.

 

The Twenty-Third Brigade will continue to carry out decisive operations against the financing systems of these organized armed groups, which only seek to destabilize Nariño territory.
