This illicit valve hit ecosystems, water sources and petroleum operations, which were transported by the Ca帽o Lim贸n-Cove帽as pipeline.
Units of the Vulcano Task Force, attached to the Specific Command of Norte de Santander, carried out the finding and destruction of an illicit valve belonging to the Organized Armed Group, GAO-ELN, in the municipality of Tib煤, Norte de Santander.
This operation was carried out in the village Socuavo Norte, Tib煤, Norte de Santander, which led to the finding of this illegal fuel extraction system, whose fuel was stored in an illicit pool and stolen from the Ca帽o Lim贸n Cove帽as petroleum pipeline.
In the same way, a rudimentary mechanism with metal barrels in charge of storing the petroleum was adapted to make the illegal seizure of the petroleum. This illegal valve was destroyed in controlled conditions by our explosives and demolition technicians EXDE, under the relevant security and safety measures.
However, it was known that this Organized Armed Group would not only benefit of the illegal seizure of fuels through the installation of such valves, but in the same way made threats and intimidations to the inhabitants to carry out work with illicit mechanisms for the construction of clandestine refineries and production of coca paste base.
