During the night of Friday 28 and the early morning of Saturday 29 May, members of the Military Forces arrived at the blockade points in Cali, Jamundí, Candelaria and Yumbo to give mobility and security to the inhabitants.

In the military assistance activities, the National Army began the strategic operations over the city of Cali, with the objective of contributing to improve the security, well-being and mobility of its inhabitants.

This is how 900 members of the Military Forces worked during the night of this Friday 28 and the early morning of Saturday 29 May in key sites of the capital city of Valle del Cauca. There, members of the Military Forces, in support of the civil authority, removed rubble and elements that prevented the free movement of civilians.

10 blocking points were dismantled in Cali, Jamundí, Candelaria and Yumbo, to support the free mobility of people. In addition, the transit of caravans of cargo vehicles with food, fuel and basic necessities entered the region with the security arranged by the Military Forces.

In some places the military found tacks, nails and other elements that had been put by the vandals, with the aim of damaging the tires of the cars. Similarly, some road signals were torn down and stuck to ground structures with welding to flagrantly hinder removal and keep traffic stopped for longer.

In these military assistance tasks there were no order alterations and at this time, members of the Military Forces remain attentive.
