The National Army gives a decisive blow to the illicit activities in the Bajo Cauca of Antioquia and south of Córdoba

These military operations are given in response to the early warnings 071 of 2018 and 045 of 2020, issued by the Ombudsman's Office.

National Army troops, in the course of military territorial control operations, have discovered and destroyed eight seedbeds and 10 rudimentary coca paste base laboratories at the service of Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in the municipalities of Puerto Libertador and San José de Uré, Córdoba, and in Tarazá, Antioquia.

These military operations were carried out thanks to the intelligence work and the skill of the soldiers, who found the hotbeds and laboratories. During the course of the operations, 400 gallons of liquid supplies, 190 kilograms of solid supplies, 5 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, as well as 7,800 coca bushes in seedbeds and 200 kilograms of chopped coca leaf were destroyed.

With these results, a decisive blow is dealt to the finances of the armed groups that commit crimes in these areas of the country, which receive high sums of money through illicit activities related to drug trafficking.

The Aquiles Joint Task Force calls on civilians to continue providing information and making denunciations that led to the arrest of those responsible for these illicit activities, so that our soldiers continue to contribute to the fulfillment of their mission, focused on raising the security of the inhabitants of the departments of Antioquia and Córdoba.
