National Army hits drug trafficking chain in the North of the department of Cauca

Thanks to the installation of checkpoints on strategic routes of drug trafficking, it was possible to find more than half a ton of marijuana, belonging to the residual organized armed group Structure sixth, Dagoberto Ramos Ortiz.

 

In territorial control operations in the municipality of Guachené, Cauca, troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No.4, a unit of the specific command of Cauca, of the Third Division of the National Army, through intelligence information and in coordination with the National Police, find more than half a ton of marijuana.

 

The event occurred on the hamlet La Sofia, municipality of Guachené, in Cauca, where a van type vehicle passed by. The driver, noting the presence of the Military Forces, escaped and left abandoned the vehicle in which he was transporting the illicit substances, valued at approximately 859 million pesos, apparently belonging to the residual organized armed group, GAO-R, Mobile column Dagoberto Ramos Ortiz.

 

These results are given thanks to intelligence information and the strategic location of checkpoints conducted by the troops of the Rapid Deployment Battalion No.12, who found inside the vehicle bags with packages wrapped in tape, weighing 600 kilograms of marijuana creepy. The material found was put into custody of the authorities.
