National Army leads environmental activity in Boyacá: 3,500 trees planted to protect ecosystems

Ejército Nacional lidera jornada ambiental en Boyacá: 3.500 árboles sembrados para proteger los ecosistemas

Within the framework of the Amazon Plan, soldiers of the High Mountain Battalion No. 2, of the First Brigade, carry out a significant planting, reforestation and cleaning activity in the village of El Cardon, Boyacá department, reaffirming their commitment to environmental protection and the sustainable development of the territory.

During the activity, 3,500 native specimens were planted, contributing to the recovery of strategic areas for the ecological balance of the region.

The purpose of this environmental intervention is to mitigate the negative impacts on local ecosystems, strengthen the recovery of water sources, preserve biodiversity and protect the fauna and flora of the territory.

The activity in the same way included cleaning work and environmental awareness spaces, promoting a culture of co-responsibility among people in the care of natural resources.

Through these events, a comprehensive strategy aimed at ecological restoration and the construction of sustainable environments is consolidated, contributing directly to the conservation of environmental heritage and the well-being of present and future generations.

Under the principle that sowing life is to protect the future, Colombian National Army continues to promote initiatives that strengthen the country's environmental resilience.
