The National Army neutralized 11 explosive devices throughout the country

Bogotá. In military operations, soldiers of the Omega Joint Task Force neutralized six explosive devices installed by armed groups in the department of Meta, specifically in the municipalities of La Macarena and Mesetas.

The explosive devices were equipped with a system of activation by pressure, putting at risk the inhabitants of the village of San Miguel and the village of La Unión. In this way, the Colombian Army fulfills its constitutional mission of safeguarding national sovereignty and protecting the civilian population.

In another operation, the soldiers neutralized an antipersonnel mine in the Miravalle sector of the municipality of San Vicente del Caguán, in Department of Caquetá.

In Planadas, department of Tolima, the Multi-mission Heroes of the National Army neutralized three explosive devices that had been installed by armed groups in the Rio Claro village of this municipality, in an operation conducted by troops of the Fifth Division.

On the other hand, Soldiers of the 23rd Brigade of the Third Division, in the village of Florida in the municipality of Santacruz, department of Nariño, found and destroyed an antipersonnel mine that had been installed by armed groups in that area and kept the security of the inhabitants at risk.
