In a timely reaction of troops of the National Army, it was possible to neutralize a terrorist operation of organized armed groups outlaw, who sought to set fire and destroy yellow machinery.
Currently, paving works are being carried out on the road leading of the municipality of Calamar El Retorno, in the department of Guaviare, to contribute to the progress and socio-economic development of the people of the department of Guaviare; however, these works have been the target of offenders, so it has been necessary the permanent accompaniment of the Army in the area.
Thus, soldiers who conduct military operations of institutional control of the territory, on the road that connects these two municipalities, and thanks to joint work with construction workers and the people of the sector, in a timely reaction prevented two individuals to set fire to and destroy the yellow machinery, which is used for these works.
As soon as these individuals, still in the process of identification and individualization, noticed the work and operation of the troops, they escaped to prevent being arrested; they did not confront the soldiers who quickly went towards the machinery to isolate the machines and protect them.
It is noteworthy that a National Army checkpoint remains in the area, which in the same way helped the rapid operation of the troops to face the situation. The machinery was not damaged and it is in optimal conditions to continue operating; the workers, in the same way, are safe and sound. At this moment, military operations are conducting to find the whereabouts of those responsible for this criminal operation.
