Thanks to the quick reaction of the military units, a tragedy that would hit the physical condition of the civilians was prevented.
National Army troops carried out the deactivation of an improvised explosive device with characteristics similar to an 81-millimeter mortar grenade in the urban area of the municipality of Caldono and the destruction of an anti-personnel mine, which was found on an educational campus in the village of Los Robles.
Another of the devices was in the same way found in the village of Los Robles by the anti-explosive experts, who, when conducting a review in the area with the support of a trained dog, found near a road in the sector, a gas cylinder that would be conditioned with shrapnel and ANFO explosive.
In the same way, the soldiers, in this same hamlet, found ammunition of different calibers and material of military accessories that apparently would belong to the armed groups that commit crimes in the area.
The use of these unconventional methods of warfare by lawless armed groups, which not only put troops but civilians at risk, is heavily rejected.
