In a military operation in conjunction with the Colombian Air Force, coordinated with the National Police and inter agency with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's office, National Army troops neutralized a complex for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, apparently of the Armed Group Organized residual, GAO-r, Structure, 33, that would cost more than 4,000 million pesos.
The military operation was reported in the village la Potrera, municipio de Sardinata, Norte de Santander, where soldiers dismantled the laboratory of production of cocaine hydrochloride. The illegal structure had a capacity of producing more than a ton of drugs in the month, representing illegal income of 1,099,153 dollars.
At the site, the troops in the same way found 90 kilograms of solid precursors, 3,363 gallons of liquid precursors, 75 gallons of fuel, including gasoline and DIESEL, and different machines and equipment that were used for the production and distribution of these drugs throughout the Catatumbo region.
It should be noted that for the operation of this illegal structure was necessary to have a distillation tower, a cooling system, a boiler, a worm of 15 mouths, 8 microwave ovens, a rudimentary oven, an electricity generator, a hydraulic press, an electric panel with 6 controls, three tables of drying, 77 containers of different sizes, 400 rolls of tape, and 4 rolls of vinipel.
After reviewing the material and structures, the destruction was carried out under controlled conditions to prevent damage to the environment.
