It is estimated that this explosive charge, composed of indugel, would have the capacity to generate damages within approximately 650 meters around; apparently they would have been planted by the organized armed group SE28.
In the framework of military stability operations, troops of the National Army neutralize an improvised explosive device.
This result is thanks to the valuable information provided by the community, which felt at risk as soon as it learned of the existence of an improvised explosive device in the area, which once verified by the military units was evident to be made of 30 units of indugel, 5 kilograms of shrapnel, 12 meters of detonating cord and 2 electric detonators. All these elements were a few meters from a farm found in a rural area of the municipality of Támara, department of Casanare.
Thus, soldiers of the Sixteenth Brigade carried out the finding and subsequent controlled destruction of the improvised explosive device.
In order to increase security during this delicate task, the EXDE group, experts in controlled destruction of improvised explosives, participated.
This is how, thanks to the efficient operation of the troops and the EXDE group, neutralized this threat, which represented a high risk for the inhabitants in the area, since anyone within a perimeter of 100 meters could have been in serious danger.
