National Army neutralizes explosives factory in Casanare with capacity to produce more than 900 explosive devices

Ejército Nacional neutraliza fábrica de explosivos en Casanare con capacidad para producir más de 900 artefactos explosivos

With the finding of this material, damages to the physical condition of almost 3,000 people and 5 large-scale structures, such as bridges and buildings, would be prevented.

In the rural area of the municipality of Támara, Casanare, soldiers of the Sixteenth Brigade of Colombian National Army found and destroyed in controlled conditions what would be an explosives factory of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-r) Substructure 28, with the capacity to produce more than 900 explosive devices.

The operation was carried out by the Guías de Casanare Mechanized Cavalry Group, in coordination with the Casanare Air Group of the Colombian Air Force and the National Police, given that clashes took place against this armed structure over the village of El Zulia.

460 indugel explosive rods, launching ramps, 100 electric and 200 nonelectric detonators, 170 manufactured tatucos and all the industrial machinery used for the manufacture of explosive devices were found by troops at the place.

In the same way, 24 camouflage uniforms, an M-240 machinegun, fuse boxes and 10 kg of welding were found by troops.

By means of this material, the Substructure 28 of the GAO-r could have hit almost 3000 lives in the department of Casanare and 5 large-scale constructions, such as bridges and buildings.

The elements of military accessories were put into custody of the institutions and the destruction of the explosives was carried out in controlled conditions in coordination with the authorities.
