1,500 gallons of fuel per week were stored in a false shed.
Through military operations, soldiers of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Tolima, of the Sixth Brigade, in coordination with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office, found a false shed-style camp in the village Chili, municipality of Coyaima, in which they stored a large amount of fuel.
An illicit valve installed in the pipeline that conducts fuel from the village of Gualanday to the city of Neiva, in the village of Chili, fuels were stored in a false chicken shed. These were in six plastic containers with metal support, with the capacity of 250 gallons each; in addition, a motor pump, hoses with different couplings, clamps and a high-pressure valve were found by troops.
According to the investigation, the criminals have been interrupting the normal flow of fuel for eight months, with an average of 6000 gallons per month, which represents a cost per gallon of 12,000 pesos on the illegal market, for 72 million pesos per month.
This structure was given to the chain of custody by the Prosecutor's Office 91, and subsequently to the technical staff of the company Cenit - Ecopetrol, who uninstall the system and carry out the repair of the pipeline.
This is a sample of the coordinated work of the soldiers of the Sixth Brigade of Colombian National Army, which contributes to protecting the strategic resources of the State, in this case the work of the company and the supply of fuel for the departments of Huila, Caquetá and Putumayo.
