National Army neutralizes two improvised explosive devices in Norte de Santander

cogfm-ejercito-nacional-neutraliza-artefactos-explosivos-improvisados-norte-santander-28.jpg

Apparently the explosives were installed by members of the residual Organized Armed Group, Gao-r, Structure 33.

Troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No.3, attached to the Second Division of the National Army, in the course of military control operations in the area, managed to neutralize a terrorist operation apparently intended to be carried out by the residual organized armed group, Gao-r, structure 33 (GAO-r E-33) in the municipality of Vijagual, in Teorama.

The two explosive devices were planted on the roads where civilians and Military Forces move. These elements were detected by the explosives and demolitions team (Exde), which under all security protocols proceeded with controlled destruction.

The National Army rejects these unconventional means and methods of warfare that are systematically used by organized armed groups for the purpose of attacking civilians and Military Forces, which is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
