In support of the people of four hamlets in the municipality of El Paujil, the Military Engineers conducted the improvement of a tertiary road, helping to improve the locomotion conditions of the inhabitants.
The Twelfth Brigade of the National Army through the Engineer Battalion No.2 and the Mechanized Cavalry Group No.12, supported the construction of 5.2 kilometers of road in rural area of the municipality of El Paujil in the department of Caquet谩.
For six months, more than 30 soldiers supported the project that today benefits more than 400 people who are part of the hamlets Puente Albania, El Vergel, Moravia and Corea in El Paujil, and that will facilitate the mobility of families, as well as it takes farmers to take their products to the urban area of El Paujil and surrounding sectors.
The executed work was possible thanks to the use of specialized machinery such as double-track dump trucks, motor grader, vibro-compactor, backhoe loader and tractor truck, all of them used by the National Army in support of the civilians.
In this way, took place the official presentation of this road in an event that was attended by the mayor of the municipality of El Paujil, Ludivia Hern谩ndez Calder贸n, the commander of the Tenth Second Brigade, colonel Hair Ardila Oaks, members (delegates) of the European Union, among other attendees that made possible this important work that contacts the village Puente Albania, El Vergel, Moravia, and Corea, to its municipal seat.
