The landslide struck a house, leaving one dead and three injured.
Soldiers of the Eighth Brigade of the Fifth Division of the National Army, provided support in the Guayabito sector of the municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal, in the department of Risaralda, where a landslide occurred and struck a house.
Due to the emergency, the local and departmental authorities made a call to the National Army to be part of the rescue and soil removal team in the area, thus the commander of the Eighth Brigade, Colonel Pedro Iván González Ruta through the soldiers of the Instruction, Training and recurrent training Battalion No.8 and Artillery Battalion No.8 Batalla de San Mateo provided support in the removal of the body of a deceased person and the transfer of the wounded.
Due to the complexity of the terrain, the control agencies of the department open a way through which they were transported, in order to fulfill the purpose of verifying that there were no trapped people on the site.
The operation of the soldiers trained in disaster response and those who provide security in the rural areas of the municipalities of Risaralda, was praised by the civil authorities, who thanked the Army for its commitment to the inhabitants and the territory of the Coffee Region.
