According to what was reported, the 48-year-old businesswoman was kidnapped on arriving at her place of residence in the city of Palmira. The individuals held her, intercepted her, and put her in a vehicle headed for the city of Cali; days later the kidnappers moved her to the neighborhood where the release took place.

The merchant was taken to the facilities of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Valle in Cali, where she was reunited with her husband and children and then taken to a hospital in the city to assess her state of health.
