With the deployment of the Disaster Assistance and Prevention Engineer Brigade, it is important to highlight that this unit is a specialist in emergencies and natural disasters.
The soldiers arrived with specialized resources and equipment to support the operations, which are carried out in the areas most affected by the floods, including boats, life jackets, oars, life rings, SODIAK engines, pikes and shovels, elements that will facilitate the evacuation, rescue, transport of humanitarian aid and assistance to the inhabitants.
This deployment strengthens the resources of the military operation of the Sixteenth Brigade, which since the beginning of the emergency has worked in a coordinated manner with the local authorities, relief agencies and institutions of the National System for Disaster Risk Management, with the purpose of safeguarding the life and integrity of the inhabitants of Casanare.
